House League FAQ - GGMSA

1. What day does my child play?  What Division is he/she in?

Okay, this is two questions, you’re cheating. 🙂

We go by year of birth to determine what Division the child plays in, and each Division plays on a specific day of the week.  Please see this chart to look up both the Division for your child, and the day of week for that Division.

2. What time do games start?

Blastball games on Saturday start at 8:30am. Parents should plan on arrriving to the diamond at 8:15am. T-Ball games on Saturday start at 9:45am sharp. Plan to arrive at 9:30am. All games for all other Divisions start at 6:15pm. Players should do a warm up before the game start. However, we do realize some parents have just enough time to get to the diamond for 6:00pm. If you can arrive early all the better for the safety of your child to stretch and warm up.

3. Are there practices on another day?

GMSA coaches may request a diamond however, we have a certain number of diamonds set for teams who wish to book a practice diamond through the Association.  The practice days will be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on your division and diamonds are still TBD. Click here for more details.

4. Where do we play?

All Divisions have their Schedules posted on the House League page. Scroll to the bottom to find the links. The Schedule indicates which diamond is used on any given week.

5. What equipment does my child need?

The registration cost includes a uniform shirt.  You will need to provide:

  • shoes/cleats — running shoes are sufficient.  If your child(ren) want to wear cleats they cannot be metal cleats. Proper foot wear is important for the success of your child. No sandals or open toes shoes are permitted.
  • black shorts/pants — please wear appropriate clothing; black shorts or black pants.  No writing on the shorts or pants is allowed. Proper footwear, plain black shorts and plain black pants are part of the uniform. This is in respect to our continued sponsors. It is important to wear the proper attire.
  • a batting helmet
    • Pitchers:  To play in the Pitching position a helmet with facemask is mandatory. GMSA does supply a helmet with a facemask and it must be worn in Minor Mite through to Squirt.
    • Catchers:  To play in the Catching position a proper catching helmet is mandatory.  GMSA does supply full catching equipment for all teams in the House League Divisions. As a parent if you do not feel comfortable sharing the same catching helmet, please bring a cap to wear under the helmet or purchase a catching helmet for your child.
  • a glove

6. I tried to register from my mobile device and encountered errors. What’s up?

We have confirmed with our vendor that registration from a mobile device is currently being tested, and is not fully supported.  It may work with some tablets, it may not work with some phones.  If you encounter any problems registering while using a mobile device, please try again on a laptop or computer.  If you continue to have problems, please contact Mike Kaufman at
