The Guelph Girls Minor Softball Association is dedicated to the advancement of softball for girls of all ages and runs a wide assortment of programs from "Blast Ball" through to House, Select and All-Star leagues. The GGMSA has also been the host of National and International tournaments including the 2003 and 2006 Girls Fastpitch Championships. In 2008, Guelph was one of the host cities for the Tri-Nations cup which had some of the worlds best Olympic Women's Fastpitch teams fine tune their skills in a pre-Olympic warm-up tournament. 2009 was a busy season for all involved. Midget Provincials were held at Guelph Lake Sports Field in July along with the Novice 2 qualifiers, Squirt Grand Valley kick off tournament, the annual Gator Classic Tournament and 2009 Pee Wee Nationals, Mite and Squirt Select Provincials. This took many volunteers.
